Day 1 – Entebbe

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will proceed through immigration and customs clearance procedures. Thereafter, you will be met by a Primate Expeditions representative just outside the baggage area and transferred to your hotel.

The remainder of the day will be at leisure.

The Boma Entebbe – Standard Room (BB)

Day 2 – Kibale

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your scheduled light flight to Kasese Airstrip.

Upon arrival at Kasese Airstrip, you will be met by the Primate Expeditions driver-guide and transferred to your lodge, approximately a 2-hour drive.

Check in and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 3 – Kibale: Chimp Trek & Bigodi Swamp Walk

After breakfast, proceed to the Uganda Wildlife Authority headquarters for a briefing on chimpanzee trekking etiquette and safety.

Thereafter, enter the forest in search of the chimpanzees and other primates inhabiting the forest.

After the trek, return to the base where your driver-guide will be waiting before proceeding for lunch.

In the afternoon, enjoy a swamp walk in the Bigodi area where you may sight various bird species and primates.

Return to the lodge in the evening to freshen up for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 – Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, check out and drive to the southern sector of the vast Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Upon arrival, check in at Ishasha Wilderness Camp for lunch.

Later in the afternoon, enjoy a game drive before returning to camp before dusk for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Reserve

After breakfast, check out and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Arrive at the lodge in the late afternoon and check in for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Reserve: Gorilla Trek

Today, embark on your Uganda gorilla trekking adventure in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Forest Reserve — home to nearly half of the world’s mountain gorilla population.

While trekking through the dense forest, you will have the opportunity to observe the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.

Looking into the expressive eyes of these gentle giants is one of Africa’s most captivating and unforgettable wildlife experiences.

After the trek, return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 7 – Entebbe

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Kihihi Airstrip (approximately 90 minutes) for your scheduled light flight back to Entebbe International Airport.

Arrival in Entebbe will be in time to connect with your international departure flight.

Terms & Conditions

Visa Requirements

Ugandan visas are required by citizens of the European Union, the USA, Japan, and other nationalities based on the principle of reciprocity.

Visas MUST be applied and paid for online prior to arrival:

No visas are issued upon arrival.

Applicants must hold a valid travel document with at least 6 months validity from the date of departure.

Booking Terms & Conditions

1. All quotations are net/non-commissionable and inclusive of statutory taxes and levies.

2. Once a booking is confirmed, an invoice will be issued and payment must be made immediately to secure services.

3. Primate Expeditions Ltd shall not be liable for excursions or extra services not booked through its offices.

4. For cash payments, US Dollar notes issued before 2009 and US$2 bills are not accepted.

5. Invoices are subject to a US$35.00 international bank telegraphic transfer charge.

Gorilla & Chimpanzee Permits

Gorilla and chimpanzee permits are confirmed upon payment to the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) on a first-come, first-served basis.

Primate Expeditions Ltd shall not be held responsible if permits are unavailable at the time payment is received.
