TENT ACCOMODATION ON KILIMANJARO. 

6 DAYS ON TREK & 2 NIGHTS IN MOSHI. 

Short Description: Embark on the Kilimanjaro Adventure – Rongai Route – 6 Days of Thrilling Trekking. Summit Uhuru Peak, experience the beauty of Mawenzi Tarn Hut, and be captivated by the diverse landscapes on this extraordinary journey. 

Day 1 – Arrival in Moshi: 

Met at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha, where our driver will warmly receive you and transfer you to your base hotel in Moshi. Enjoy a delectable dinner and a comfortable overnight stay in Moshi. 

Day 2 – Trek Commences – Simba Camp: 

At 10 a.m, our drive will transfer you to the Nalemoru Gate to start your trek. Hike to Simba Camp (2600 mts) for 2 to 3 hours through pine forest and moorland zone. Enjoy a hot dinner and overnight stay at Simba Campsite. 

Day 3 – Ascending to Kikelelwa Camp: 

After breakfast, leave for Simba Camp for Kikelelwa Camp (3675 mts) via 2nd Cave Camp (3450 mts) in 6 to 7 hours. Enjoy superb views of Mawenzi. Dinner and overnight stay at Kikelelwa Campsite. 

Day 4 – Trek to Mawenzi Tarn Camp: 

After breakfast, leave Kikelelwa Camp for Mawenzi Tarn Campsite (4330 mts) in 3 to 4 hours. Experience superb views of Kibo through heath and alpine desert vegetation. Dinner and overnight stay at Mawenzi Tarn Campsite. 

Day 5 – Journey to Kibo Hut: 

After breakfast, you will trek for 5 to 6 hours to Kibo Hut (4700 mts) by crossing the saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo. Dinner and overnight stay at Kibo Campsite. 

Day 6 – Summit Day – Horombo Hut: 

Start around 12:00 a.m for the ascent to Gilman’s Point (5681 mts). Walk along the crater’s rim for 5 to 7 hours. Reach Uhuru Peak (5869 mts) for a sunrise view over Kilimanjaro. Descend to Horombo Hut via Kibo Hut in 4 to 7 hours. Dinner and overnight stay at Horombo Campsite. 

Day 7 – Final Descent and Return to Moshi: 

After breakfast, you will descend for 5 to 6 hours to the Marangu gate. Transfer to your base hotel in Moshi. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay in Moshi. 

Day 8 – Farewell or Extended Adventures: 

Bid farewell to the awe-inspiring Kilimanjaro experience. We’ll transfer you to Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha for your onward journey.

– Ground transfers with pick-up and drop-off from Arusha or JRO to/from
  base Hotel in Moshi

The price does not include:

– Items of a personal nature. 

– Other beverages apart from fruit juices and mineral water given on the
  first day of the climb and boiled water given during the climb. 

– Other equipment on the mountain. (other than tents, camping table and  
  chairs). (Mountain gear) 

– An additional SRS will apply for Single tent on Camping routes.

Optional Extras for the climb: 

– OXYGEN CYLINDER US$25 PER DAY. 

– HYPERBARRIC PRESSURE BAG (GAMOW BAG) US$35 PER DAY. 

– CHEMICAL TOILET US$30 PER DAY. 

– Hotels: 

We book rooms with one of the above mentioned Hotels (based on availability) on the basis of two persons sharing a double room. 

However single room cannot be guaranteed, especially in the game lodges. The choice of hotels or lodges can change due to their 

availability in high or low season. 

– Liability and risks: 

The company and its agents act only as agent of agents in all matters relating to tours and shall not be liable for injury, death, delay, loss, damage, illness or weather conditions for a cause in any manner. 

The company’s liability carried in the vehicle is governed by the respective laws of the country and all claims are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the country. 

The company reserves the right to subcontract all or any part of the services agreed to be supplied. The company cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to baggage or equipment. The company draws your attention to the fact that there are certain inherent risks present when on safari, or when engaging in any strenuous physical activity. It is your sole responsibility to obtain appropriate medical advice as to medication, immunization, and whether or not you are fit enough to undertake the trip, prior to departure.

 – Terms of business: 

The payment for the entire cost is supposed to be paid in our bank account 35 days before the arrival of the clients. This will ensure smooth payment of Park fees and other arrangements. 

The rates shall include taxes at the prevailing rates. The rates will increase automatically without notification should the prevailing rates of tax increase, or should another tax or levy be introduced during the duration of this agreement. 

– Alteration of tours: 

The right is reserved to change any arrangements should conditions so necessitate. 

– Force majeure: 

Force Majeure ” means, in relation to the company, any circumstances beyond the control of the company (including and without limitation, acts of God, explosions, floods, tempests, fires, accidents, war or threat of war, sabotage, insurrection, civil disturbance or requisition, sickness, quarantine, government intervention, weather conditions or other outwards occurrences). If the company is affected by force majeure it shall forthwith notify you of the nature and extent thereof. 

The company shall not be deemed to be in breach of these items and conditions or otherwise be liable to you, by reason of delay in performance, or by non-performance, of any of its obligations hereunder to the extent that any such delay or non-performance is due to any force majeure. 

If the company is affected by force majeure it shall be entitled to, and may at its sole and absolute discretion, vary or cancel any reservations or cancel any reservation or arrangement in relation to the visits. Payment of any refund by the company to you as result of the non-performance of any company shall use its reasonable endeavors to reimburse you where possible. However, the company shall be entitled to deduct from any refund recoverable to the reasonable actual and potential costs to the company of the force majeure. 

– Valid travel insurance: 

We strongly recommend that all clients take out travel comprehensive insurance when making a booking. We recommend that insurance covers loss of deposit and other monies through cancellation, loss or damage to personal baggage and loss of money, medical expenses, additional expenses to cover hotel accommodation and repatriation costs to their home country should any services need to be extended or curtailed due to illness or other insurable risk. Please note that restrictions on the time to effect insurance apply to some services such as airfares. 

– Cancellation and refund: 

In the event of cancellation or amendments, a minimum charge to cover expenses incurred as well as cancellation fees chargeable at the lodges will be made if cancellation is recieved less than 30 days before the commencement of the tour. 

Refund will not be provided if parts of the service/ climb are not utilized. 

Cancellation during the climb, the client will not receive any refund on not used service. If the client has to be brought down to Moshi for injuries and does not complete the climb, refund will not be made to the un used services/ climb . 

Any extra cost will be barred by the client. 

– Baggage: 

Your personal baggage limit is 12 kg per person for the climb.

TANZANIA GENERAL SAFARI TERMS & CONDITIONS 

General Terms & Conditions: 

  1. Government Taxes and Levies: 

The rates above are inclusive of current levies & taxes as of today, however should there be any new statutory taxes introduced and/or increase of any current levies by Government/statutory bodies the same shall be passed on to you 

  1. Conservation Fees (Park Entrance Fees) / Accommodation Concession Fees / Camping Fees: 

National Parks/Conservation Fees are based on current tariff, should TANANA OR NCAA OR WMA increase any of their fees the same will be passed on to you. 

  1. Rooming Policy with Serena & Sopa Lodges: 

Serena Hotels will confirm up to a maximum of five singles per group at single room rate as contract rate. Any additional single rooms will be charged at double room contract rate. 

  1. Rooming Policy with Tanganyika Wilderness Camps (TWC): 

The Single room rate is applicable for the first 3 rooms per booking. Double rate for the rest of the single rooms. 

  1. Rooming Policy with TNS Hospitality: 

(Lake Ndutu Luxury Tented Lodge, Ngorongoro Kuhama Camp & Serengeti Kuhama Camp, TNS Ngorongoro Rim Lodge, TNS Kimarishe Serengeti Lodge) 

The Single room rate is applicable for the first 2 rooms per booking. Double rate for the rest of the single rooms. 

  1. Luggage space: 

Soft-sided luggage or duffels are preferable to hard luggage for storage on safari vehicles within East Africa. Large suitcases of dimensions greater than 24″x 17″x 7″ are impossible to store in vehicles and on aircraft and should not be used. (Baggage and personal effects are at owner’s risk throughout the tour and baggage insurance for members is strongly advised). 

  1. Re-routing of Itineraries due to limited space availability: 

There may be some departures operated on a re-routed version depending on the status given, but reflecting same experience and number of game drives. 

  1. Seasonal variations: 

Some bookings might straddle between two seasons making the above seasonal quotations on accommodation NOT APPLICABLE. In such cases, supplements / reductions will be applicable for such bookings. 

  1. Scheduled Flight Fares and Baggage Allowance: 

Scheduled flight fares are current and subject to change. The proposed airline may not be available at the time of booking. You will be informed of the changes on the fares and the airline available for a particular booking. Regional Air luggage allowance is strictly 20 kilos in soft bags per person (inclusive of hand luggage).

  1. Accommodation rates for children sharing with adults: 

Child sharing rate is based on the general child policy of the accommodations. For any specific combination of child sharing with adults/children, we kindly ask you to get a quote from us depending on the child age and rooming arrangement. 

Children Policy: (not applicable to Camping Itineraries) 

Children between the age of 3 and 12years 

Pays 60% of the adult rate if sharing a room with two adults 

Pays 80% of the adult rate if sharing a room with another child 

Pays 100% of the adult rates if sharing a room with one adult 

No discount on Holiday and other supplements 

  1. Payment Policy 

A deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking. The balance is due 45 days before commencement of the tour program. If the reservation is made within 45 days of departure the whole amount must be paid at the time of confirmation. 

  1. Cancellation Policy 

All cancellations must be received in writing. As all suppliers charge cancellation fees, they are in turn passed on to us. 

Reservations that are cancelled, reduced in length of stay or reduced in number of occupancy are subject to cancellation and 

no-show fees. Following is the scale for cancellation charges: 

 

 No cancellation charge if cancelled 61 days prior to arrival. 

35% of booking value if cancelled between 60-44 days prior to arrival 

50% of booking value if cancelled between 43-36 days prior to arrival 

75% of booking value if cancelled between 35-21 days prior to arrival 

100% of booking value if cancelled 21 days prior to arrival
